Texas Tech University Choral Ensembles

Texas Tech enjoys a rich tradition of excellence in the choral arts. With six vibrant ensembles, three full-time faculty members, and a thriving studio of outstanding graduate conductors, there is a wealth of wonderful experiences awaiting those who love to sing and who want to be a part of the choral community.

Prof. Richard Bjella, our new Director of Choral Studies, brings exciting new energy and vision to the program. This spring the University Choir will travel to New York City for an invitational performance at Carnegie Hall. All of our ensembles have won acclaim in performing throughout the community, region, state, nation, and indeed around the world.

Our undergraduate program in choral music education boasts a 100% placement record and upholds the highest standards in innovative teaching and pedagogical techniques. Graduate studies in choral conducting include the MM, DMA, and PhD degrees with various possibilities in performance and education concentrations. We invite you to learn more about the choral program, our upcoming activities, and each of our ensembles by exploring the various pages of this website. We warmly welcome you to join us!
