DUANE HILL is  the director of the Texas Tech Goin' Band from Raiderland Marching Band, associate director of bands and the artistic director of the Lubbock Youth Wind Ensemble. He conducts Concert Band, teaches courses in marching band techniques and leadership development, and supervises student teachers. 

Hill earned his Masters of Music in conducting at Texas Tech University from Dr. Sarah McKoin (2010) and Bachelors of Secondary Music Education from Texas Tech University under Keith Bearden and Christopher Anderson (2004).  From 2004-2008 Hill served as associate director of bands at Leander High School (Austin, TX). As a faculty member, Hill has received the TTU Alumni Association New Faculty Award (2014) and the Mortar Board and Omicron Delta Kappa Faculty Recognition Award (2014).

In service to music education, Hill coordinates and teaches at the Texas Tech Band and Orchestra Camp which is attended by hundreds of musicians from across the nation. He also is a leadership facilitator with Solutions and Specialized Innovations (SASI), which specializes in student empowerment in music students, and he serves as a consultant and clinician to high school band programs.

His professional affiliations include: College Band Directors National Association, Texas Music Educators Association and Texas Bandmasters Association.
