Carla Davis Cash

Carla Davis Cash is Assistant Professor of Piano. She is coordinator of group piano and teaches courses in
piano pedagogy and applied music. Dr. Cash has performed solo and collaborative recitals in the United
States, Europe, and South America. An active researcher, she often presents her findings in motor skill
development and procedural memory consolidation at the annual conferences of Texas Music Teachers
Association, Texas Music Educators Association, Music Teachers National Association, and Music Educators
National Conference. Most recently she was the recipient of the 2007 Outstanding Research Award from the
National Conference on Keyboard Pedagogy.
Dr. Cash holds a Ph.D. in Music and Human Learning from The University of Texas at Austin, and B.M. and M.M.
degrees in Keyboard Performance & Pedagogy from the University of Miami.
