Carla Davis Cash

Carla Davis Cash is Assistant Professor of Piano at Texas Tech University where she coordinates the group piano program and teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in piano pedagogy and applied music. An active performer, she has presented solo and collaborative recitals in the United States, Europe, and South America. Her research focuses primarily on motor skill development and procedural memory consolidation in musicians, and she has presented her work at state, national, and international conferences in music education. Most recently Dr. Cash was recipient of the 2007 Outstanding Research Award from the National Conference on Keyboard Pedagogy. She is a member of the National Forum on Research in Motor Learning and Music and her articles appear in the Journal of Research in Music Education.

Dr. Cash holds a Ph.D. in Music and Human Learning from The University of Texas at Austin, and M.M. and B.M. degrees in Keyboard Performance & Pedagogy from the University of Miami (FL).
