AUDITIONS FOR SPRING 2010
Spring 2010 auditions for Tech choirs will be held on January 12, 2009.
To schedule an audition, simply send an email requesting an audition time to choral.music@ttu.edu any time
after April 15, 2009. Auditions are 8-10 minutes and have traditionally consisted of:
- Vocalizing (simple exercises to show voice color and range).
- A brief solo performance of a song (or portion of a song) that the student brings in. An accompanist is provided. If one does not have a prepared solo selection, a folk song or familiar hymn will suffice.
- A brief passage of music to be read at sight (sight-singing).
The choral faculty tries very hard to create a relaxed and pleasant environment for the auditions. There are students of ALL majors throughout
campus in ALL of our choirs. Tech choirs are taken for one credit hour (undergraduate and graduate credit available). See the Choral Main Page
