Gerald Dolter

The Director of TTU Music Theatre and Associate Professor of Music, Gerald Dolter, has devoted more than 30 years of his life to the musical theatre and opera stages.  His repertoire includes more than 80 professional operatic roles and more than 25 musical theatre portrayals.  For TTU Music Theatre he has directed more than 20 major productions of musicals and operas since 1998.  He is a National Metropolitan Opera Auditions winner, and has sung with many of the country’s professional opera companies.  For six seasons he was the leading baritone with Germany’s Bremen Opera.  He won the Premio Galeffi at Italy’s Concorso Internazional per Voci Verdiane in 1984, and in 1986 won first place in the International Vocal Competition of Ghent, Belgium.  He is a graduate of Indiana University’s Schools of Music and Business.
