Jason Sifford



Jason Sifford is Assistant Professor of Piano. He is the coordinator of group piano instruction and teaches courses in applied piano, piano pedagogy, and music technology. Dr. Sifford holds degrees in piano performance from Southwest Missouri State University and Louisiana State University and has his doctorate in piano performance and pedagogy from the University of Michigan. He has studied piano with Logan Skelton, Constance Carroll, and Arthur Greene; and pedagogy with Joanne Smith and Donald Morelock. Dr. Sifford's repertoire ranges from Rameau to Berio, and he has a particular liking for the music of the early German romantics. He has taught at the Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp, the All-State Program at Interlochen, and the Schoolcraft College Summer Music School in Livonia, MI. He has served as an adjudicator and clinician and maintains active interests in curriculum development, jazz pedagogy, and music technology. Piano, Piano Pedagogy, Keyboard Technology
