In January 2007, the Choir joined Craig Johnson and Conspirare for the National Endowment of the Arts American Masterpieces Music Festival. The highly acclaimed invitational performances before the American Choral Directors Association 2005 national convention in Los Angeles, marked the third occasion for the Choir to sing for an ACDA national convention. Other highlights from recent seasons include, performances for several Southwest regional ACDA and TMEA conventions; and in 2002, the Choir represented the U. S. at the Association of British Choral Directors national convention in York, England. The Choir has won effusive praise from composers Eric Whitacre and Stephen Paulus through collaborative workshops at Texas Tech.

Appointed as a Visiting Fellow of Wolfson College, Cambridge University in 1992, he sang with Sir David Willcocks and The Bach Choir in London. A second post-doctoral fellowship allowed him to serve as principal rehearsal conductor for The Bach Choir in Musical Director David Hill's absence and culminated with work as chorus-master with The Bach Choir chamber ensemble in preparation for a concert and recording of Handel's L'Allegro, il Pensieroso ed il Moderato with John Nelson and his Ensemble Orchestral de Paris. Dr. Dickson has prepared choruses for orchestral conductors Michael Tillson Thomas, Sir David Willcocks, David Hill, Max Bragado-Darmon, and John Nelson.
