Texas Tech Men's Chorus

The Texas Tech University Men's Chorus (formerly the Tech Glee Club) was established in 2000 by Dr. John Dickson as a musical outlet for all Tech men who enjoy the camaraderie of choral singing. Under the direction of Dr. John Hollins, the Men's Chorus performs music reflecting a wide variety of styles, including classical works, spirituals, folksongs, barbershop,  jazz standards, opera choruses, and TTU songs. The ensemble has grown steadily over the past five years and has gained recognition in the university and the community as an exciting and spirit-filled choral organization. Jerry Blackstone, conductor of the University of Michigan Glee Club, praised the chorus, stating "The men have a warm, beautiful sound, and it's obvious that they're having a good time." In 2003, the ensemble served as the opera chorus in TTU Music Theatre's production of Mozart's Die Zauberflote. Last year the Men's Chorus sang at several community events and was featured, along with the Women's Chorale, at the  TTU College of Visual and Performing Arts Gala presentation "A Night on Broadway," at the Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center in Dallas.
