Summer Programs

2009 Summer Orchestral Conducting Workshop
Friday June 26, 5pm - Sunday June 28, 6pm
Teachers: Dr. Andrew George, Dr. Bruce Wood, and other TTU instrumental faculty.
The Texas Tech Orchestral Conducting Workshop is designed for professional, college and secondary
music educators, and advanced college students.
Topics to include:
- Effective gestural communication
- Efficient score study
- Rhythm training in ensemble settings
- Rehearsal/teaching techniques
- Improving & including woodwind/brass/percussion sections
- Low strings for high strings teachers (and vice versa), and more
Repertoire will be selected by each participant from the Texas UIL list.
Fees
- Workshop Participant: $275
- Workshop Auditor: $175
- College Student: $175

If enrolled in Dr. Bruce Wood's summer course: $175 (contact Dr. Bruce Wood for details)
Graduate Credit: one TTU credit is available for an additional fee of approximately $385 to any qualified participant.
Enrollment in a TTU degree program is not necessary.
