Lindsey Spitsberg

Lindsey Spitsberg is an active adjudicator and clinician in her sixteenth year of teaching, and her tenth year as the Director of Choirs at Lubbock High School in Lubbock, TX, where she currently holds the position of Fine Arts Department Chair. Prior to this, she was the Assistant Director at Coronado High School and the Head Director at Irons Middle School, both in Lubbock ISD.  She has been the section leader for ensembles at the TMEA regional and state level and at TTU Choir Camp. In addition to directing, Mrs. Spitsberg is the TMEA Region XVI Vocal Chair, was the Region XVI Vice-President, and has served as the Chair of the TCDA Hospitality Committee. She is also in her twelfth year as a mentor teacher for the LISD New Teacher Academy.

Mrs. Spitsberg's choirs consistently earn top honors at contests, including sweepstakes at UIL Concert and Sightreading Evaluation. Each year, many of her students are selected to be in the All-Region and All-State Choirs, as well as making top ratings at local and state UIL Solo and Ensemble Contests. 

Mrs. Spitsberg holds an MM in Choral Conducting and a BM in Music Education, Summa Cum Laude, from Texas Tech University. During her undergrad years, she was a soloist and two-year officer for both the University Choir and Madrigal Singers.

Mrs. Spitsberg enjoys spending free time with her husband, Matt, their nine-year-old twins, Luke and Everett, and their pups, Dakota and Cobb.
