Biography

Growing up on the Texas coast, most of my time was spent hunting and fishing, so I knew from a young age that I wanted to work in the outdoors. I moved to Lubbock to begin working towards my undergraduate degree at Texas Tech and became heavily involved in the Texas Tech Chapter of the Wildlife Society. The experiences I gained through the society landed me an internship with the US Fish and Wildlife, in which I gained experiences in working with all types of animals. In the spring of 2019, I graduated with a bachelor's degree from the department of Natural Resources Management with a degree in wildlife biology. I am now studying the ecology of Axis deer in central Texas, focusing on habitat use and food habits. Upon obtaining my master's degree, I hope to go to work for a state agency or in the private sector.
