About Me

I am from the sunshine state where I graduated from the University of Florida in May of 2014. My interests include avian conservation and coastal ecology. In my home state I interned at St. Marks NWR monitoring Red Cockaded Woodpeckers, radio tracking Red Wolves, performing prescribed burns and surveying for sea turtle nests. I discovered my love for shorebirds working with Piping Plovers and Least Terns along the Missouri River in South Dakota. After taking the scenic route through 18 of the most popular National Parks and Monuments, I ended up in Texas where I worked as a technician in the Grisham climate response lab trapping lesser prairie-chickens and conducting field work along the gulf coast. I hope to have a career as a wildlife ecologist with an emphasis on management of coastal or lotic ecosystems. My free time is filled with traveling, hiking, kayaking, sleeping in my hammock, dancing, jamming to Taylor Swift, playing with my bearded dragon, and eating (a lot).
