Biography

I grew up in May, TX, where I graduated high school with 25 other classmates. I attended Tarleton State University to receive my B.S. in Wildlife, Sustainability, and Ecosystem Science. While at Tarleton I was an officer of the student chapter of The Wildlife Society and a member of the quiz bowl team and plant identification team. As an undergraduate I studied mourning doves in the Lower Rio Grande Valley. This research has allowed me to give presentations across the country and write a manuscript with the potential of becoming a publication. I have worked as an intern for Texas Parks and Wildlife Department at the Mason Mountain WMA and as an intern at the MT7 Ranch. As a graduate student I will be evaluating northern bobwhite survival, movements, and reproductive success in relation to predator reduction experiments on the 6666 Ranch. After the completion of my M.S. degree I plan to either work for TPWD or as a biologist for a private ranch.
