Lucas Schilder, M.S.
Biography
I am originally from Sacramento, California and received my B.S. in Natural Resources
Management from Texas Tech University in 2018. During my undergraduate career, I examined
landscape connectivity for Lesser Prairie-Chickens on the Southern High Plains of
Texas and New Mexico with Dr. Blake Grisham and Dr. Nancy McIntyre. My current graduate
work is focused on avian and plant community response to prescribing thinning of Pinyon-Juniper
Woodlands in New Mexico, with a detailed evaluation of Juniper Titmouse territoriality
and dispersal. My research interests revolve around landscape ecology and I hope to
continue working on spatial issues of human-wildlife interactions.
