Biography

I graduated from high school in Willis TX (north of Houston) where I played basketball and the French Horn in band. I later received a B.S. in Natural Resource Management in 2015 from Texas Tech University. During my undergraduate career, I worked as a research technician for Quail-Tech Alliance for two years. My field experience also includes vegetation ID and sampling at Greater Sage-Grouse nests in central Wyoming, trapping Greater Sage-Grouse juveniles in WY, and educating youth in TX (mostly 6th-8th graders) on such topics as herpetology, wildlife ecology, and freshwater ecology. I am also certified to work on a ropes course belaying climbers or sending them down the zip line. Upon receiving my Masters, my ultimate wish is to become a regional wildlife biologist for TPWD. My hobbies include hiking, kayaking, reading, creative writing, and spending time with loved ones.
