Erin Stukenholtz, M.S.
Biography
I grew up in Nebraska City, Ne, and received my B.S. in Biology at Doane College in Crete, Nebraska. During my undergraduate career, I traveled to Costa Rica to study diets of the bat family Phyllostomidae. I presented this work at conferences in Toronto, Canada and San Juan, Puerto Rico. I received my Master's in August 2016, from Texas Tech University. For my thesis, I studied variation in hormones and diet during reproduction for the Seba's short-tailed fruit bat. I am currently studying the ecology of pigeons on campus. For my dissertation, I will be studying competitive interactions and community ecology of birds within Texas and along a latitudinal gradient.
