About Me

I grew up on the Guadalupe River in New Braunfels, TX where my love for freshwater systems began. I am a Texas Tech alumni and received my degree in Natural Resources Management in Fall 2014. As an undergraduate I became involved in the fire community at TTU, held a summer internship with TPWD River Studies Program, and became a fisheries technician for the Texas Cooperative Unit. I am passionate about freshwater conservation and thrilled to further the understanding of our state fish of Texas, the Guadalupe Bass, while pursing my M.S. degree. When I am not doing field research, I still crave to be outside! You can often find me backpacking, kayaking, cooking, fly fishing, shooting longbow, swinging from my pecan tree, and playing blues harmonica.
