54th Annual Texas Chapter of the Wildlife Society Meeting

Our faculty, graduate students, undergraduate students, and distinguished alumni represented our department well at the 54th Annual Texas Chapter of The Wildlife Society in Dallas, Texas. In total, 21 undergraduate students, 18 graduate students, and 5 faculty members attended, as well as many NRM alumni.

faculty award winners

Dr. Clint Boal and Dr. Blake Grisham at the 2018 Texas Chapter of The Wildlife Society meeting in Dallas, TX. Dr. Boal was awarded the Outstanding Publication Award - Book for "Ecology and Conservation of Lesser Prairie-Chickens" along with Dr. David Haukos. It has been since 1999 that a Texas Tech-authored book was selected for this award. Dr. Grisham was awarded Excellence in Wildlife Conservation - Educator of the Year. It has been 17 years since someone from Texas Tech has received this honor.
