Student Range and Wildlife Management Club Endowed Scholarship

The Student Range and Wildlife Management Club Scholarship Endowment was established in 1995 by the Texas Tech University Student Range and Wildlife Club.

The funds had been accumulated by members of the student club during various fund-raising events, such as turkey-shoots, for the expressed purpose of establishing a scholarship endowment. The process began in 1990 and along the way some small scholarships were awarded prior to the formal establishment of the endowment account. Several individuals and corporations also made contributions, including: Professor John Hunter, Mr. Dan Griffis, Ms LaNell Grimes, and AT&T who matched Ms Grimes' contribution.

The scholarship is awarded annual to students of any classification majoring in the Department of Natural Resources Management who are members of the student club and their professional society. The number and amount awarded annually varies.
