Commencement Information:

It is time to begin making plans for your graduation from Texas Tech at the end of this spring. I hope that you and your family and friends plan to attend Commencement in the United Spirit Arena at 1:30 P.M. on Saturday, August 09, 2014.

At this point, let us add a word of caution: You must complete the work required for your degree. If we notified you of any problems regarding needed transcripts, grades of I, PR, or anything else, please immediately contact your advisor in this office (106A Student Media), or by email to: kacey.young@ttu.edu or (tel) 806-834-6797.

Between 11:30 A.M. and 12:30 P.M. on Saturday, August 09, please enter the United Spirit Arena through the large utility ramp at the northeast corner of the complex (the ramp extends from the parking lot into the lower level of the arena). Locate the University Studies/Wind Energy table for the portion of the alphabet including your last name. There you will be given a card indicating your name and seat number. Go to your assigned seat in the practice court, complete the card (to be given to the Commencement reader as you approach the platform), and be ready to march into the arena.

Please do not bring with you coats, purses, or other items as there will not be a place to keep them. Please make sure your cell phones are turned off during the Ceremony.

The policy of the University Convocations Committee prohibits Commencement participants from decorating their caps and gowns or wearing any accessories that are not an official element of the academic regalia. Academic Honor cords and medallions may be worn because they are official. Please invite your family and friends to attend. They should go directly to the United Spirit Arena in time for the 1:30 P.M. program.

You may pick up your diploma immediately after the ceremony in room 107, Student Media until 3:30 p.m.

All unclaimed diplomas will be mailed the week of September 7th using the address provided on your Intention to Graduate.
