TTUISD Handbook
Welcome to Texas Tech University Independent School District!
The administration, instructors, and staff would like to welcome you to Texas Tech University Independent School District (TTUISD), a TEA-accredited kindergarten through 12th grade school that operates entirely at a distance. Our students study at home for various reasons; they may be pursuing a professional career or simply wish to complete their education at their own pace. Regardless of the reason you have chosen to pursue your education with TTUISD, we want you to be successful.
As a distance learning student, you are able to pick the time and place to do your work. While the freedom to choose when and where you complete your schoolwork is a privilege, it is also a great responsibility. Scheduling your time will be a challenge.
This handbook, along with the Policies and Forms Guide are valuable resources you can refer to as you complete your coursework.
Because our work will be completed at a distance, we may never see each other. However, we are here to help you. If you have a question that is not answered in this student handbook, please feel free to contact or visit us any time we can be of service to you.
Sincerely,
Gib Weaver
TTUISD Superintendent
