Obtain Approval
If you are currently enrolled in a public or private school, you must obtain approval from your school counselor or principal before enrolling. Failure to receive approval could cause enrollment delays and may result in your school not granting credit.
If you plan to enroll in TTUISD's diploma program, you must first apply and be accepted. Once you have been accepted, you must receive approval from a TTUISD counselor or administrator before enrolling in a course. Failure to receive approval before enrolling could result in admission or enrollment delays.
K-12 Students: Before enrolling, you must obtain approval from your school counselor or principal. Failure to receive approval could cause enrollment delays and may result in your school not granting credit for courses or CBEs you have taken.
TTUISD Students: If you plan to enroll in TTUISD, you must first apply and be accepted. Once you have been accepted, you must receive approval from a TTUISD counselor or administrator to enroll in courses or CBEs. Failure to receive approval before enrolling could result in admission or enrollment delays.
College Students: College students (with the exception of students pursuing a degree from Texas Tech University) are not required to receive approval, although it is suggested that they determine the applicability of CODE courses to their degree plans. Due to the academic signature requirement, students pursuing a degree through Texas Tech are unable to enroll online. Texas Tech University students must receive a dean's or advisor's signature on the College Enrollment Form before enrolling in a course. Please note that the signature is only good for 10 days, so you must submit your enrollment to CODE within 10 days of obtaining the signature.

Review the Policies & Forms Guide Before Enrolling
You will be bound by our policies upon enrolling. High school students taking dual-credit courses or college students taking college courses must be compliant with the Texas Success Initiative (TSI) before enrolling in a course.
TEXAS SUCCESS INITIATIVE COMPLIANCE
Under the Texas Success Initiative (TSI), you must either be exempt or take a TSI Approved test such as the Texas Higher Education Assessment (THEA), the Compass, Accuplacer, or Asset Examination to test for basic skills in the areas of reading, math and writing. Students who take a TSI test yet fail one or more portions of a TSI test must see a TSI advisor in the TSI Skills Development Office prior to meeting with their regular advisor.
TEXAS SUCCESS INITIATIVE SKILLS DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM
The TSI Skills Development Program seeks to improve student readiness for successful completion of college level work. The state of Texas and TTU regulations require all students who fail one or more portions of a
TSI test to enroll for development courses in the area(s) of deficiency and follow the mandatory attendance
rules. Failure to meet these regulations will result in the student's withdrawal from the university.
College Students: Remembering Financial Aid, Insurance, and other deadlines
If you are receiving aid from Texas Tech University, you may not enroll in any course offered through CODE before August 14, 2009, for the Fall 2009 semester OR before December 22, 2009, for the Spring 2010 semester. You must submit a copy of your CODE receipt and a letter from your dean or academic advisor to the Financial Aid Office indicating that the CODE course(s) will apply to your degree plan for a specific semester (e.g., Fall 2009). Financial aid eligibility for on-campus students is determined by the number of on-campus credit hours that you are enrolled in for a term. If there are extenuating circumstances preventing you from enrolling in any on-campus hours, please contact a financial aid advisor for other options. For more information about your eligibility, please contact the Office of Student Financial Aid. Full-time students at other institutions are not eligible for financial aid from Texas Tech University. Contact your own institution for information on their financial aid programs. If you are taking college coures through CODE to meet insurance or other deadlines it is your responsibility to track and meet those deadlines.
Be Aware of Graduation Deadlines
In an ongoing effort to treat all students fairly and maintain academic integrity, our faculty and staff will do everything possible to help you meet reasonable graduation deadlines. Unreasonable expectations will not be
addressed. To guarantee grades for graduation, May graduates must have all lessons and final examination
requests submitted by April 15 and final examinations taken by May 7. TTUISD students should refer to TTUISD graduation deadlines.
College Students: Final examinations must be taken 30 days prior to whatever deadline you must meet for your college. All lessons must be completed and received before final examinations can be sent to your proctor. Most course instructors require all lessons be graded before the final examination can be set.

Enroll and Order Textbooks and Materials Online
You can enroll online or use the K-12 Enrollment Form or College Enrollment Form.
You will need textbooks regardless of whether you take an online or print-based course. Most textbooks required for your course(s) can be purchased through CODE. Although you are not required to buy textbooks and materials from CODE at the time you enroll, we recommend you do so (unless otherwise stated in the course description). If you secure books from another source or choose not to purchase books and materials when you enroll, you are responsible for obtaining the correct edition of each book. Given that publishers often change versions and ISBN numbers for textbooks, we recommend that you purchase all required elementary textbooks from the CODE Bookstore.
Note: If you are enrolling in ENGL 1301 or 1302 or PSY 1300 online, you must buy textbooks and materials for these courses from CODE at the time of enrollment.
