Completion Time & Deadlines
Course Completion
Completion time. You have six months from the date of enrollment to complete a course, including the final examination. The date of enrollment is the date the enrollment was posted to our student record keeping system.
Taking multiple courses. If you enroll in two or more courses at the same time, the expiration date will be the same for all courses.
Mailing time. Overnight mail can shorten delivery time; however, it does not expedite processing enrollments, tracking or grading once the material is in our office.
Grading time. An instructor has five working days to grade lessons. Sending multiple lessons at one time can delay grading, so please submit only one lesson at a time.
Examination requests. Please visit the Examination Procedures for detailed instructions on requesting an examination.
Reasonable expectations. We will do everything possible to help you meet reasonable graduation deadlines; however, unreasonable expectations will not be addressed.

Take a CBE in the summer. Make arrangements with your school official to take your examination with an approved proctor BEFORE the expiration date. CBEs that expire during the summer months cannot be taken when school resumes unless you re-enroll.

Other Deadlines
High school students. May graduates must have all lessons and final examination requests submitted by April 15 and final examinations taken by May 7.
TTUISD students. If you complete graduation requirements before April 15, 2010, you may participate in the May graduation ceremony as a Texas Tech High School graduate. If you complete graduation requirements after April 15, 2010, and before September 1, 2010, you may participate in the May ceremony as a summer school graduate. You will be listed as a summer school graduate and will be part of the graduating class for the following year. In order to be a summer school graduate, you must be enrolled in your last 2.5 credits before April 15, 2010. In order to receive a diploma from Texas Tech High School a student must complete 2.5 full course credits from the TTUISD program while enrolled as a TTUISD student. CBEs are not full courses and so not satisfy this requirement.
College and high school students enrolled in dual-credit courses. College and dual-credit courses cannot be completed in less than one week for every semester hour of credit (however, please be aware instructors have five working days to grade each assignment you submit). Final examinations must be taken 30 days prior to whatever deadline you must meet for your college.
