Study with the Masters - General Information & Policies
Fees
You may charge your registration fee to Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, or pay by check or money order (make checks payable to Texas Tech University). We cannot accept partial payments and can only process your enrollment once full payment is received.
Study With the Masters
Courses are open to any interested individuals 16 years of age or older. Only registered students may attend course sessions. Some courses have limited enrollment, while others may be cancelled due to low enrollment. For best course selection an availability, we recommend that you sign up at least one week before the first class session.
The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute
Program offerings are open to any interested individuals 50 years of age or older. Couples may register to become members and attend classes as long as one partner is 50 years or older. Friends may also join as a couple. Only registered students may attend. Some offerings have limited enrollment, while others may be cancelled due to low enrollment. For best selection and availability, we recommend that you sign up at least one week before a scheduled program.
Program Changes
Outreach & Distance Education reserves the right to substitute instructors, rearrange class schedules, or cancel classes due to low enrollment. In case of class cancellation, you will be notified and will receive a full refund.
Class Locations and Parking
Most of our programs will be held at our newly-constructed Outreach & Distance Education Building located at 9th & Indiana Avenue adjacent to the International Cultural Center and across Indiana from University Medical Center in Lubbock. Please park in the visitor section of the parking lot. We will notify you of the exact location of your class in your enrollment confirmation, provide you with a map and a campus parking pass if needed.
Cancellations/Refunds/Transfers
You may cancel a registration up to three working days before the first session for a full refund minus a $25 processing charge. We will not refund money for cancellations after that. If you choose not to attend a course for which you have pre-registered, you will not be eligible for a refund. You may transfer to another course if we receive your transfer request at least one working day before the second session.
Confirmation Letter
Registrations received at least two weeks prior to a class, workshop or event will be confirmed in writing. You should receive confirmation along with your receipt within 10 business days of your registration; if not confirmed, please call 806.742.7200, ext 270.
