Financial aid is available to students who are admitted to a Texas Tech University resident degree program or the Bachelor of General Studies degree program at a distance. The Defense Activity for Non-Traditional Education Support (DANTES) authorizes reimbursement for a course in accordance with each branch's educational support program. Active service personnel should contact their base, post, or shipboard education service officer for enrollment forms and fee payment information. If you are a Texas resident who is blind or permanently and severly visually- or hearing-impaired as defined in Section 91.051(5) of the Human Resources Code, you are entitled to an exemption from payment of tuition fees at any institution of higher education using public funds as specified in Senate Bill 183, 73rd Regular Session of the Texas State Legislature.
