Birgit Green: Birgit.firstname.lastname@example.org
Birgit Green serves as the Director of Engaged Research and Partnerships at Texas Tech University where she provides leadership and support for the university’s Strategic Priority 4 of “furthering outreach and engagement.” In this role, she helps promote the practice of engaged scholarship by providing guidance to academic units on program development, community partnerships, external funding opportunities, and interdisciplinary collaborations. Prior to assuming this role, Dr. Green served for over 13 years as the Director of Outreach at Texas Tech’s University College where she was responsible for administering the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute and Continuing Professional Education programs including certificate programs, short courses, conferences, and online offerings. During that time, Birgit organized Texas Tech’s first Community Engagement Conference and was instrumental in expanding the College’s partnerships with the university’s academic areas, government agencies, other postsecondary institutions, and community organizations. She also served and P.I. and Co-PI on several state and federally funded grant projects that involved program development and partnerships with external stakeholders. Birgit is the past chair of the University Professional and Continuing Education Association’s Outreach and Engagement Community of Practice and currently serves as a member of the Association of Public and Land University’s Council on Engagement. Birgit holds a Bachelor’s in Business Administration, a Master’s in Education, and a PhD in Higher Education Administration from Texas Tech University.

Bryce started his career in the hospitality field working for the Gaylord Texan Resort and Conference Center on Lake Grapevine while obtaining his Eagle Scout Status. From there he started College in Fort Collins at Colorado State University while working for a Corporate Full Service Marriott property.
Bryce then went on to graduate with his Master’s in Restaurant Hotel and Institutional Management from Texas Tech University and taught two labs in Human Sciences at the Overton Hotel and Skyviews Restaurant.
He worked at both the Residence Inn and TownePlace Suites by Marriott- as director of Sales for Marriott he served both the Lubbock and Amarillo markets. During this time his hotel in Lubbock earned the highest growth for Revenue per available Room (RevPAR) in the entire Pillar Hospitality Franchise while serving as Secretary and Treasurer for the Lubbock Hotel Motel Association.
Bryce is currently an Ambassador for the Lubbock Chamber of Commerce and on the Board for the Hub City BBQ and the LubbockBusiness EXPO. After Starting his own business Wed-It-Be: Professional Wedding and Event Planning, he was asked to plan logistics for the Engagement Scholarship Consortium hosted at Texas Tech University. Bryce then transitioned into a full-time staff member working under the direction of Dr. Birgit Green at Texas Tech University in the Office of Engaged Research and Partnerships.
