In 1963 the Dads and Moms Association initiated its scholarship program with four scholarships for $250 each. In 1974 it established the Scholarship Endowment Fund as its first major project, for which it has raised $441,978 through contributions, interest income from which funds all of the 55 scholarships. Five of these scholarships are designated for incoming freshmen.
The Dads and Moms Association Scholarships may be held by any full-time student at Texas Tech University, and are made on a fully competitive basis. Graduate students and entering freshmen are also invited to apply.
The Dad's and Mom's Association Scholarship applications will be available immediately after the Christmas break. Students may pick up the D&M application from the scholarship committee chairperson within their undergraduate college. The completed application should then be returned to that chairperson. Only ONE application is necessary to be considered for any of the 55 Dads and Moms Association Scholarships. Our policy states that: A student may not accept more than $1,000 of other TTU administered scholarship money; and must be enrolled in 12 hours in the fall of 1999 and 12 hours in the spring of 2000.
