2015 SACSCOC Reaffirmation

Texas Tech University is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC). The University is accredited every ten years, and every SACSCOC-accredited institution must submit a Compliance Certification Report (CCR) prior to reaffirmation. Texas Tech successfully submitted its Fifth Year Interim Report in April 2011. The University will submit its CCR in September 2014. The Office of Planning and Assessment is responsible for creating documentation in support of the University’s accreditation with SACSCOC.

Progress Update April 4, 2013

SACSCOC Reaffirmation at Texas Tech is going incredibly well and is on course to continue all the way through to 2015. All of the interest area work teams have met at least once or are in communication to meet soon. In these meetings, teams are reviewing previous responses, gathering updated evidence, and preparing new responses. The reaffirmation process was officially kicked off March 21st with a presentation here at Tech by Dr. Belle Wheelan, President of SACSCOC. It was an exciting and incredibly beneficial event for all who attended the luncheon or any of the other opportunities to meet with her. Currently we are preparing for reviewing first draft of responses and promoting reaffirmation to the student body.
