Catherine Parsoneault
Catherine Parsoneault, Ph.D.
Associate Vice Provost for Planning and Assessment
Chair of Ethics Center Advisory Committee
Catherine Parsoneault currently serves as Associate Vice Provost for Planning and Assessment at Texas Tech University, with oversight of the Office of Planning and Assessment and the Ethics Center. She serves as the institution's liaison to the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges, and as the chief contact with the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board for all matters pertaining to academic programs. Prior to joining the Provost's staff at TTU in February 2013, Dr. Parsoneault served for twenty years on the staff of the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board in Austin, Texas. Her areas of responsibility at the Coordinating Board included the statewide core curriculum, transfer student success, and academic program review. She supported statewide advisory committees on international education, globalization in higher education, the Lower-Division Academic Course Guide Manual, undergraduate education, and transfer success, and served as a Coordiny, and a Ph.D. in historical musicology from The University of Texas at Austin. She was the first graduate student from the UT-Austin School of Music to be honored with the Texas Exes/College of Fine Arts Teaching Excellence Award. Her dissertation, The Montpellier Codex: Royal Influence and Musical Taste in Late Thirteentating Board liaison to the Board of the Texas Common Course Numbering System.

Dr. Parsoneault holds a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance and Pedagogy from the University of Wyoming, a Master of Music in music history and literature (summa cum laude) from Southern Methodist Universith-Century Paris, received the University of Texas School of Music Outstanding Dissertation Award. She has held part-time faculty positions at St. Edward's University in Austin, Texas A&M University, and Southern Methodist University, where she also served as a full-time academic advisor for four years.

Dr. Parsoneault holds a black belt in aikido, and has taught children and adults through the Still Point Aikido Center in Austin, the first martial arts organization in Texas to receive official designation as a Peace Dojo through Aiki Extensions and Peace Dojos International. She enjoys travel and rock climbing, and takes pleasure in developing new recipes for artisanal jams and preserves.

Jennifer Hughes
Jennifer Hughes, M.S.
Director, Office of Planning & Assessment
Jennifer Hughes is Director of the Office of Planning and Assessment at Texas Tech University. She is also a part-time doctoral student in Higher Education and studies faculty engagement in assessment. Jennifer has held full-time teaching positions in the Rawls College of Business and South Plains College. Before moving to Texas, Jennifer worked in the Colorado Community College and Occupational Education System where she held positions in institutional research and marketing. She earned her B.S. in Speech from Northwestern University and her M.S. in Communication Studies from Illinois State University. Jennifer is married and has three children, Jack (10 yrs), Mary Kate (8 yrs), and Elizabeth (6 yrs).

Craig Morton

Craig Morton, PhD is the Associate Director for The Office of Planning and Assessment. As a native Lubbockite, Craig is a proud Red Raider. He earned his doctorate in Higher Education Administration from Texas Tech University in 2010. His previous degrees are from Texas Tech as well with a B.A. in Human Development and Family Studies and a M.A. in Educational Psychology. Before working at Texas Tech, Craig was a Licensed Professional Counselor working in the private and non-profit sector. Craig began working at Texas Tech in the Office of Assessment and Planning for Student Affairs in 2006 and then University Student Housing, now Craig is excited to be a part of Institutional Effectiveness.

Lisa James
Lisa James
Section Coordinator
Lisa James is the Section Coordinator for Texas Tech University’s Institutional Effectiveness division, which includes the Office of Planning and Assessment. Lisa came from Southern California to work for TTU’s Division of Outreach and Distance Education in 2003, and transferred to the Office of Planning and Assessment/ Quality Enhancement Plan in 2008. She supports the Office of Planning and Assessment by managing the Center’s budget, program expenses, and payroll.

Elaina Cantrell

Senior Administrator, Faculty Credentialing
Elaina Cantrell is a Senior Administrator in the Office of Planning and Assessment and is the administrator of the DigitalMeasures ActivityInsight software platform. Currently pursuing her PhD in Higher Education at Texas Tech University, Elaina earned a Master and Bachelor of Business Administration from New Mexico State University. Elaina has worked in manufacturing, computer software, and taught at Motlow State Community College (Tennessee) and Pikes Peak Community College (Colorado). Elaina joined the Office of Planning and Assessment in January 2010 and immediately started working on Texas Tech's HB 2504 compliance and encouraging every faculty member to fully utilize DigitalMeasures.

Katie Garner

Administrator, Student Learning Assessment
Katie Garner began working in the Office of Planning and Assessment March 2012 as the TracDat/Sharepoint Administrator. She is originally from Oklahoma City, but has lived in Lubbock for the past 3 years. She received a M.A. in Political Science here at Texas Tech in the Fall of 2011. She also earned a B.A. and M.A from the College of International Studies at the University of Oklahoma.

Devin DuPree
Devin DuPree, M.S.
Administrator, Institutional Assessment
Devin DuPree began working in the Office of Planning and Assessment in September 2009 as a Graduate Assistant helping with assessment, statistical analysis, and reporting. Now as the administrator over institutional assessment, Devin continues in these responsibilities of organizing, implementing, and reporting on University level assessment and providing support for College and Department level assessment. Devin is currently pursuing his PhD in Marriage and Family Therapy at Texas Tech University. He earned a B.S. in Psychology from Brigham Young University (Utah) and a M.S. in Marriage and Family Therapy from Texas Tech University.

Dianne Reyes a native of Plainview has been in this position since 2010 as the Senior Administrative Assistant for Office of Planning and Assessment and TTU Ethics Center. Dianne provides administrative support to the staff and is the initial point of contact for visitors. She also has over 20 years of experience working as an executive administrative assistant. She enjoys doing volunteer work and traveling with her husband.
