What is SI?

Supplemental Instruction sessions are free, weekly peer-led review sessions for students in historically difficult courses. SI Leaders will take information from class lectures and the textbook to efficiently review concepts from the course through various strategies.


The Benefits

Research shows students who attend SI sessions regularly average one half to one full letter grade higher than their classmates who choose not to attend. SI Leaders utilize activities and worksheets to help students master the concepts of the course.


The Goal

 
  • Students will acquire content specific learning techniques that will increase their success in the course.
  • Students will develop study strategies that are transferable to other courses.
