Course Structure, Fee, & Materials
XL is a noncredit course with a mandatory attendance policy. From Spring 2003, students required to repeat the XL course will be placed into a section with a more in-depth and tailored curriculum. Thus XL will have two different curriculums one for first time students and the other for repeaters. In addition to the skills discussed above under Mission, the XL course covers Stephen R. Covey's The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People and how to use the FranklinCovey™ personal management system widely used by professionals in most disciplines.

During the fall and spring semesters, the course lasts eleven weeks & meets twice a week. However, in an effort to more adequately accommodate our students an alternative format of XL 0201 is now available. Sections referred to as the XLerated format will meet Monday thru Thursday for six weeks thus allowing the course to end much earlier than the traditional version. Therefore any student enrolled in XL will have following options:
- Regular Student : Any student enrolling in the course for the first time or previously attended XL for less than 5 weeks.
- Traditional Format : Two days a week - 11 weeks
- XLerated Format : Four days a week – 7 weeks
- Repeater Student : Any student repeating the course and who previously attended XL at least 5 weeks.
- Traditional Format : Two days a week – 11 weeks
- XLerated Format : Four days a week – 7 weeks
There is a $200 nonrefundable course fee for both regular students and repeaters. Once enrolled, you are required to purchase the following course materials promptly:
