Texas Tech ID or Social Security Number of the employee.

Name of the employee.
Unique number of the processing cycle that printed the pay check.
Unused field by the Payroll Department.
Employee benefits that are considered taxable by the IRS.
The Texas Tech budget account # and name from which the employee is paid (an
employee may be paid from several different 'accounts').
Number of hours reported by the employee via a time clock or REPORT OF HOURS
WORKED FORM for an hourly biweekly pay period.
A short description of the type of payment (an employee may be paid several
“types” of pay on one pay check). Click on the 'Earnings Types' in this column below for brief description of the codes.
The dollar amount of payment for an 'account' and 'type'.
A short description of the Non-Cash Taxable Earnings. Click on the "Earnings Type" below for more information on
Non-Cash Taxable Earnings Types.
The dollar value of taxable benefits which is being added to the taxable cash
earnings of this check for the calculation of taxes.
Total earnings considered taxable by the IRS. Computed by adding 'Total Gross
(Earnings box)' and 'Total (Non-Cash Taxable Earnings box),' then subtracting
'Deductions' which are coded 'Y (Pre-Tax)' in the Deductions Box below.
A 'Y' in this column indicates deductions which are subtracted from earnings
before taxes are computed.
A short description of taxes, insurance and other deductions being taken from
the earnings; includes coverage level chosen for each benefit plan. See below
for list of Deduction Types.
The dollar amount of the deduction being taken from the earnings; a total is
shown at the bottom of the column.
The matching amount being paid by Texas Tech and not deducted from employee
pay. The total dollar value of the benefit the employee receives from Texas
Tech’s matching deduction is shown at the bottom of this column.
A list of selected earnings and deductions totals for the checks dated January 1 through December 31 of the current year.
A short description of the earnings or deduction type.
The dollar total for the calendar year.
Gross earnings and retirement for the fiscal year (September 1 through August 31), totaled as of the pay period end date for the pay check.
