Academy

The purpose of the Academy of Petroleum Engineers is three-fold: (1) to recognize Petroleum Engineering graduates and other petroleum industry professionals who have made significant contributions to the profession and who, in so doing, have brought credit to the Petroleum Engineering Department at Texas Tech, (2) to encourage and inspire students in the Petroleum Engineering program to achieve success in their selected fields of endeavor, and (3) to assist and support the Petroleum Engineering Department in its efforts to seek and develop excellence in its programs.

In 2007, the Academy inducted six new members:
