The Department of Petroleum Engineering has an international reputation for graduates who enter the industry with a strong practical background in petroleum production, reservoir engineering, drilling, advanced recovery methods, and gas technology. Specific areas of study include drilling, well completions, fluid rheologies, phase behavior, production technology, reservoir analysis, economic evaluations, logging and logging interpretation skills, reservoir evaluation fundamentals, hydraulics, equipment, reservoir simulation, gas behavior, and production system design and optimization. |
