You may calculate the premiums individually or as a monthly payroll deduction. If you use the monthly Payroll deduction calculator, then you can also determine the amount paid with pre-tax and after-tax dollars. Disability and Dependent Life premiums are not converted to pre-tax dollars. In addition to the premium deductions here, 6 percent of your salary is held in a retirement fund and will be matched by the state when you retire. You may elect other pre-tax deductions by enrolling in TexFlex and Texa$aver. |
