The New Employee Benefits Orientation provides an introduction to employment at Texas Tech and your employee benefits. All new regular faculty and staff employees must attend the first orientation available on or after their date of employment. Special sessions are held for new faculty in the fall. Pre-registration is required.

During this class, Personnel from the Benefits Office will instruct new employees on the benefits available to those who meet necessary time-requirement qualifications. Benefits office staff will cover the following information:

	Employment Non-Discrimination Training for New State Employees (State Requirement).
	The history of Texas Tech University.
	The rights and requirements of being a Texas Tech University Employee.
	The benefits a new employee is entitled to as a staff or faculty member.
	Completion of essential paperwork.
