How to create a hiring manager account |
|
|
Creating an online account is the initial step in gaining access to the Texas Tech Jobs online hiring system. Each department is responsible for insuring that all individuals required to process requisitions have established an online hiring account for the purpose of initiating and/or approving requisitions. |

To initiate this process, access the hiring manager’s website at http://jobs.texastech.edu/hr. |
|
|
Hiring managers should click on “Create User Account,” and fill in the blocks with the appropriate data. After completing the form, click on “Continue.” Review the information and then click on “Confirm.” |

| Ensure the username and password are written down prior to submitting the request. | |
|
Your username and password are needed each time to log into the system to view applications/resumes, change the status of applicants, and place the requisition in the “Filled” category once a hiring decision has been made. |

|
An Employment Office liaison will review the request and notify the hiring manager via email when the account has been approved. |
|
|
Hiring managers who have an established account, but have forgotten their username/password may contact the Employment Office at 742-3851 ext. 238 to retrieve this information. |

|
How to request hiring manager delegates |
|
|
Alternate delegates may be assigned to initiate/approve requisitions. Department Managers should submit a written or Email notification to the Employment Office indicating alternate approval assignments. This correspondence reflects the name(s) of individual(s) who have been granted permission to initiate or approve requisitions on behalf of the departmental administrator who has elected not to be included in the process, or during the individual’s absence. |
