Astronight

Astronight is our new monthly public outreach event. Come join the TTU Physics & Astronomy department for an evening of exploration and discovery! Astronight events happen rain or shine and feature:

  • A short and accessible general-audiences talk by a TTU scientist or special guest.
  • Physics and astronomy activities for scientists of all ages.
  • Telescope Viewing (weather permitting).

Talks begin at 8 PM and the activities and telescope viewing are drop-in from 8 until 10. 

Location and Parking Information

Astronight is held on the TTU Campus in the Science Building. Talks are held in Room 007 (big lecture hall in the basement level) and the activities are held in the 1st-floor lab rooms. Telescope viewing is outside on the south side of the building. 

Special event parking begins at 7:30 PM in lots R07, R08, and the Engineering Key. After 8 PM, most parking lots on campus are open, except where stated otherwise by signage.
