Hyung-Hoon Kim is completing the joint doctoral program in Public Policy at Georgia State University and Georgia Institute of Technology. He holds a Master of Science in Public Policy from Georgia Institute of Technology.
He also has a Master of Science in Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from Seoul National University. Before studying in the United States, he worked for Samsung Electronics as a semiconductor engineer.
He has conducted research on nonprofit management, public management, and science and technology policy. His dissertation examines why public and nonprofit employees volunteer more than for-profit employees; to what extent public service motivation contributes to such sector differences in volunteering; and whether public and nonprofit employees volunteer for other-regarding reasons more than for-profit employees.
He will teach nonprofit courses and quantitative methods.
