Gregg R. Murray is an Associate Professor of Political Science at Texas Tech University. His primary research focuses on political behavior, including topics ranging from voter mobilization and turnout to the application of evolutionary theory to political leadership and followership. Dr. Murray also works on the development of techniques to analyze large-scale data sets. His research has appeared in journals such as American Politics Research, Expert Systems with Applications, Journal of Peace Research, Journal of Political Marketing, Political Research Quarterly, Public Opinion Quarterly, Social Science Quarterly, and Social Science Research.

 

Dr. Murray is the Executive Director of the Association for Politics and the Life Sciences and author of the “Caveman Politics” blog at Psychology Today. He teaches undergraduate courses on political behavior and graduate courses on political behavior and experimental research methods. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Houston in 2003.
