Curriculum Vita

Dr. Kwon is Assistant Professor in the Political Science Department at Texas Tech University. He received his Ph.D. in Public Administration from Florida State University and joined Texas Tech in 2008. He teaches graduate courses in public management and policy, and his areas of research interest include urban management, intergovernmental relations, inter-organizational collaboration networks, and nonprofit management. His research has appeared in refereed journals, including Public Administration Review, American Review of Public Administration, and International Review of Public Administration.

Professor Kwon  was awarded the Marshall E. Dimock Award from the American Society for Public Administration in March 2011.  This award is presented to the best lead article in the Public Administration Review, the premier public administration journal, during each volume year. His article (“Overcoming the Barriers to Cooperation: Intergovernmental Service Agreements”) was published in volume 70 number 6 on pages 876-84 with Richard Feiock in 2010.
