Admission to the Political Science Graduate Programs
Applying for admission to the Department of Political Science program requires 2 applications--one for the Graduate School and one for the Department of Political Science. If you have questions about the admissions process, please contact the Director of Graduate Studies at polsadmissions@ttu.edu.

Materials for the Graduate School application can be found at the Graduate Scool Application Page. Students Must Provide the Graduate School with Official Transcripts and GRE/TOEFL Score Reports. You can mail them to the address below.

Texas Tech University PPI Requirements
If you are applying to graduate programs in Industrial Engineering, Chemistry, Political Science, Mathematics, and Theatre, Texas Tech University requires an ETS® Personal Potential Index (PPI) Evaluation Report containing a minimum of three (3) evaluations from separate evaluators in order to consider your application complete. The PPI is a third-party evaluative tool administered by the ETS (Educational Testing Service) organization.

Department of Political Science Application
Students will need to submit the online Department application, by clicking the below apply button.
The application can also be completed electronically using the form below, and then emailed to the Director of Graduate Studies at polsadmissions@ttu.edu. Students can also mail the completed application to:

Students will also need to provide 3 letters of recommendation. Print out the Letter of Recommendation Form below and give it to your respondents. The respondents will need to mail the letters directly to the Department at the address above.
For M.A./Ph.D. and Ph.D. students, the Department application will also serve as the application for Department financial aid.
