Dr. Muñoz is currently Vice Provost for Undergraduate Education and Vice President for Institutional Diversity Equity, and Community Engagement. As a Vice President and Vice Provost, Dr. Muñoz serves on the President’s Administrative Council, Provost Staff, Dean’s Council, Academic Council, Strategic Planning Council, Strategic Enrollment Planning Council, University Budget Working Group, and is the Chair of the TTUS, Outreach and Engagement System Priority.
A component of Dr. Muñoz’s portfolio as Vice Provost and Vice President, includes the oversight of university wide academic support units including; the Academic Testing Center, University Advising Center, the Center for Undergraduate Research, the Faculty Professional Development Center, and Women’s Studies Program, Military & Veteran Programs, and Support Operations for Academic Retention. As a representative of Texas Tech University, Dr. Muñoz serves on the Association of Public and Land Grant University’s Commission on Access, Diversity and Excellence, is a member of the Board of Directors, National Association of Diversity Officers in Higher Education, and has been an appointed member of the Planning Committee for the National Outreach Scholarship Conference.
In Fall 2004, Dr. Juan Sanchez Muñoz was appointed in the College of Education as an Associate Professor in the Department of Curriculum & Instruction. He has further served as Coordinator for the Bilingual Education and Diversity Studies program, past Chair of the Graduate Academic Affairs Committee, and founding member and Director of the College of Education, Center for Research on Leadership and Education. Prior to joining Texas Tech, Dr. Muñoz was a faculty member in the Department of Secondary Education at California State University Fullerton (CSUF). In his capacity, he was a course custodian, an advisor to the Master Program in Secondary Education, and Director of Educational Programs for the Grand Central Art Complex CSUF, in Santa Ana, California. Dr. Muñoz has taught courses in classroom management, instructional methods, curriculum development, multicultural education, bilingual education, and critical social theory. His research interests include alternatives education for at-risk students and the learning needs of ethnically and linguistically diverse students in public schools.
Dr. Muñoz earned a B.A. in Psychology from the University of California, Santa Barbara. After returning from military service in the U.S. Marine Corps during the 1990-91 Gulf Crisis, he attended California State University, Los Angeles where he earned an M.A. degree in Mexican-American Studies with an emphasis in literature and literary theory. He earned his Doctorate of Education from the University of California, Los Angeles, where he studied Curriculum & Instruction in the Division of Urban Schooling. At UCLA he received the Chancellor’s Fair & Open Academic Environment Award and a fellowship from the Center for the Study of Urban Poverty and the Institute of American Cultures. Prior to attending UCLA, Dr. Muñoz was a secondary teacher, an instructor in the California Community College system, and an adjunct faculty member at Pacific Oakes and Whittier Colleges.
His work has appeared in scholarly journals, books, encyclopedias and national conferences. His research has been presented at the annual conferences of the American Educational Research Association and the American Educational Studies Association. He is the author of books chapters, academic articles, and over 30 referred conference presentations. In 2010, Dr. Muñoz was among the contributing editors of the seminal compilation, Handbook of Latinos and Education, Routledge. The Handbook has received the coveted American Association of Educational Studies, prestigious Critic’s Choice Book Award.
While in California, he served on the Board of Directors of several non-profit agencies, was appointed to the Los Angles Workforce Investment Board- Youth Council, served on both Parks & Recreation and Substance Abuse Commissions in San Bernardino County, and was Chair of the 2001 City of Los Angeles Crossroad Symposium for at-risk youth.
In Texas, he is currently on the Board of Directors for Covenant Health System, Advisory Board of American State Bank, Texas Diversity Council, Avalanche-Journal Editorial Board, City of Lubbock Civil Service Commissioner, Director in the Texas Lyceum, and Board member of the South Plains Worksource. He is past president of the Lubbock Boys and Girls Club, past board member and vice president of the South Plains Boy Scout Council, former commissioner of the Lubbock Housing Authority and Texas Youth Commissioner. In 2008, Dr. Muñoz was appointed by Texas Governor Rick Perry to the Board of Directors for the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs. His community service has been recognized through numerous certificates of commendation from local, state, and congressional offices.

Assistant Vice Provost for Student Affairs

Cathe Duran, PhD, is Texas Tech's Assistant Vice Provost for Student Affairs.
In her previous role as Associate Dean for Undergraduate Programs in the Texas Tech Rawls College of Business, Dr. Duran served as program coordinator for the undergraduate business degrees, and her responsibilities included oversight of advising and retention, study abroad programs, and student development initiatives for the Rawls College. She has also served as the Student Leadership Council advisor and recently developed and implemented a peer mentor program for Rawls College freshmen and sophomores.
Dr. Duran has remained engaged in her discipline through her instruction of courses that address the areas of Strategic Management and Fundamentals of Business Professionalism. Her teaching and high expectations of students has been publicly recognized, including being named Honors Professor of the year. Dr. Duran has also served as chair of the Academic Integrity task force for the university's Ethics Initiative.

Ryan Gibbs, EdD, is Texas Tech's Assistant Vice Provost for Undergraduate Education.
Dr. Gibbs is an alumnus of Texas Tech University 3 times over (B.A. in Political Science, 1998, Masters in Public Administration, 2000, Doctorate in Higher Education Administration, 2010). Ryan's 10 plus years in higher education includes preparing at-risk pre-college students for the rigors of college, advising and mentoring first generation to college students, teaching in the classroom, and leading a community college to 4 straight student enrollment records.
Ryan's research interests include the mission of the American Community College and the community college baccalaureate degree. Ryan has several professional honors including Who's Who Among America's Teachers and completing the Future Leaders Institute (2008) for the American Association of Community Colleges.

With more than 10 years of experience in Student Affairs, Dr. Murphy has enjoyed various positions within the Center for Campus Life and previous experiences at Texas Tech in Residence Life and at Texas Christian University in the Office of Admissions. Her educational background includes a M.Ed. in Higher Education/Student Affairs, a B.A. in Public Relations, and she completed her Ph.D. in Higher Education at Texas Tech University in December 2010.
Dr. Murphy spends her time volunteering with the Junior League of Lubbock and enjoys professional associations with the American Association of University Women, Lubbock Chamber of Commerce, and Texas Association of College and University Student Personnel Administrators.

Jill Stangl has been employed by Student Legal Services since 2000. Her primary practice area is criminal defense, including expunctions and non-disclosures. She is responsible for the day to day operations, case load management, and administrative functions for Student Legal Services. Jill received her JD in 2000 from Texas Tech University School of Law. Prior to law school, Jill received a BA from the University of North Texas in Political Science and with a minor in Criminal Justice.
Jill spends her time volunteering with Lubbock Legal Aid Society, Inc., and is involved with several professional associations including the Lubbock Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, the University Student Legal Services Association-Western Region, and the Lubbock County Bar Association.

Suzanne has been with the TLPD since its humble beginnings as the Teaching, Learning, and Technology Center (TLTC) in the library basement years ago. She now serves as the center's Director. She coordinates TLPD programming and events, and continues to serve as a faculty and graduate student development consultant. She loves attending classes around campus and talking with instructors about their strengths to find what works well in the classroom from both the student and faculty perspective.
Her research interests include classroom management strategies, teaching portfolio development, and instructor perception of student evaluations. She is a founding member and past Chair of the Texas Faculty Development Network. Suzanne currently serves on the Core Committee (the Board of Directors) for the Professional and Organizational Development Network in Higher Education (POD). When Suzanne isn't running around the TLPD or the Texas Tech campus, she can probably be found watching her children play basketball or soccer or trying to convince them that a snake, a rat, a tarantula, and two dogs are enough pets for one family.

DaNay Phelps is the Senior Administrator for the Office of Community College & Transfer Relations. She is a native Texan from West Texas: born in Amarillo, lived in Springlake-Earth, then landed in Lubbock.
DaNay graduated from Coronado High school in Lubbock and received her Bachelor�s degree from Texas Tech University in 1989. The focus of her undergraduate degree was psychology and philosophy. DaNay began her Texas Tech career with the Associate Dean�s office in the College of Arts and Sciences in August of 1990. She moved to a position as the Advising and Training coordinator for the Texas Academic Skills Program office in 1991. When ACTT opened its doors to students in the fall of 1992, DaNay was hired as one of the original staff as an academic advisor.
DaNay has also coordinated New Student Orientation for the College of Arts and Sciences, managed the Graduate on Time (GOTT) Contract program, and invested in the network of academic advisors on the Texas Tech campus.
DaNay has the pleasure of assisting the Coordinator of the Freshman Seminar Program. As the Assistant Coordinator of IS 1100-Freshman Seminar, she assists first year students to find an IS 1100-Tech Transitions course that fits their needs.
She has worked for TTU for many years in a variety of roles.� The common theme appearing throughout her work is student advocacy, support, and guidance.� She enjoys assisting students and their families as students discover their academic potential, define their educational plans, pursue their career goals.
As the Senior Administrator for the Office of Community College & Transfer Relations, DaNay will bring her focus on student success directly to bear on those Red Raiders transferring to us from other educational institutions.� She accomplishes this role by advocating for the Transfer Student on the Texas Tech Campus, and by facilitating partnerships and articulation agreements with the many schools in which students begin their career in higher education.

Brit Swanson serves as an Attorney for Students and Associate Director for the Department of Student Legal Services. Brit has been employed with the Department of Student Legal Services since 2004, and advises students primarily in the areas of Consumer, Family, Estate and Business law.
In 2003 Brit received her JD from the Texas Tech University School of Law along with her Masters Degree in Financial Planning from Texas Tech University. Brit’s undergraduate degree, also from Texas Tech University, is a Bachelor of Interior Design, which was inspired by her love of house design and continues to be one of her main passions outside of work. Brit also enjoys professional associations with the University Student Legal Services Association-Western Region, the Lubbock County Bar Association and the South Plains Lawyers Association.

Joshua Ryan Barron, B.B.A., M.B.A., is the Associate Director of the University Advising Center. He believes that, with deliberate effort, people and organizations can positively impact every person and situation they encounter. Therefore, Joshua focuses his efforts on equipping, organizing, empowering, and supporting the University Advising Center staff as they serve students.
From his work in information technology and knowledge management, consulting with global organizations, and investing in one-to-one mentoring of students, Joshua's experience has proven beneficial in affecting change. Joshua is interested in the dynamics that produce positive changes within individuals, teams, and systems of people; especially the effects of technology on these processes.
A native of Lamesa, Texas, Joshua graduated from Texas Tech University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management and earned his Master of Business Administration in Organizational Strategy and Management Information Systems from the University of Texas at Dallas. Joshua is currently in the midst of pursuing a Ph.D. in the discipline of Technical Communication & Rhetoric, focusing on influencing positive change in the lives of high school and new college students through the transitional period from high school into the university environment.
Away from the office, Joshua is heavily invested in his family (an amazing wife, their four energetic children, and the smartest Westie in the west) and several community organizations that support positive change in the lives of the people they impact.

Mary Cain Fehr is an Assistant Professor of Curriculum and Instruction in the College of Education and Associate Director of the Teaching, Learning, and Technology Center (TLTC) at Texas Tech University. Mary earned a BS in Elementary Education with a minor in Art and an MEd in Instructional Technology, both at the University of Houston, followed by a PhD in Curriculum and Instruction with a minor in Instructional Technology at Texas Tech University. Mary taught in Texas public schools for eleven years before becoming faculty at TTU. She has also worked in the private sector to design and develop online instructional programs. Mary is co-editor of "Teach Boldly! Letters to Educators about Contemporary Issues in Education."
Mary’s research interests include teaching and learning in online environments, diversity and culture, culturally responsive teaching, and the role of creativity in the curriculum. As associate director of the TLTC, Mary leads the center’s distance learning initiatives and our outstanding team of instructional designers!
When Mary find a little extra time, she usually spends it visiting family in several far-flung cities. Other interests include various fiber arts (most recently, learning to knit socks!), yoga, healthy cooking, and of course, exploring new technologies.

Catherine Brooks, B.A., M.A., is originally from Abilene, Texas. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in English from Texas A&M University and her Master of Arts in English from Sam Houston State University. She is pursuing a PhD in Curriculum and Instruction at Texas Tech.
Cathe has over 15 years of experience working with high school and college students. She is passionate about helping students succeed and has taught at both the high school and college level including TAKS preparation and mentoring new teachers. Certifications include Principal, K-12 English as a Second Language and Special Education, 8-12 History, and 4-8 History and English.
Facilitating curriculum delivery models and teaching in technical settings are also part of her professional background. She helped create the coursework used to teach developmental English classes for college students and created curriculum guides and course syllabi for middle school history and English courses. She served as a mentor and instructor for ITT Technical Institute and as adjunct faculty for DeVry Institute in Dallas. Most recently, Cathe has served as principal for the Cedar Crest campus of Trinity Charter Schools in Belton, Texas, a charter district serving at-risk youth.
Cathe spends as much time as possible with her three daughters and enjoys reading, cooking, and most outdoor activities.

Michael Brown, M.Ed., B.S., received his bachelor's degree in Communication Studies with a minor in Psychology from Texas Tech University in 2004. He completed his Master's degree in Educational Psychology at Texas Tech in 2008.
Before working for SOAR to lead the Learning Center, Michael worked in University Advising as as an Academic Advisor and the Assistant Coordinator for the PEGASUS Program, plus positions ranging from Case Manager for the Florida Department of Children and Families to counseling First Generation College (FGC) students in the Texas Tech McNair Scholars Program. These experiences have enriched his passion for encouraging the success of students from diverse backgrounds in academic settings.

Charlotte is beginning her 8th year at the TLTC. She is the department business manager and as such manages the day to day administrative operations for the department. Prior to her employment at TTU, she spent years as a bookkeeper and administrative assistant for various companies in the Lubbock area. She is also active in the real estate community as a licensed Texas realtor. She has been a member of the National Association of Realtors, the Texas Assosciation of Realtors and a member of the Lubbock Association of Realtors since 1994. She enjoys giving real estate tours to new faculty candidates interviewing for positions at TTU. Her attention to detail includes finding the appropriate housing for new faculty moving to Lubbock and beginning their employment at TTU. Her pride and joy is her children and grandchildren! Ching serves as a facility manager for TLTC. In this position, he insures the technology in our classrooms and offices operate properly. Whenever new technology is needed, we turn to Ching. A native of Taiwan, Ching holds a bachelor’s degree in Chinese Music with a major in Er-hu (Chinese Violin) performance. He holds master’s degrees in Arts Management as well as Educational and Instructional Technology (EDIT). He is currently a doctoral candidate in Music Administration at Texas Tech. Ching has been happily married to Li-chen Chiang for over 20 years. Together, they have three lovely children. A certified Secondary Education science teacher, Courtney received her Bachelor of Science degree in Earth Science with an emphasis on science education from Texas A&M University. Her Master of Science degree in Geography from Texas A&M focused on desert geology of the Chihuahuan Desert, Big Bend National Park.
Courtney began her career in higher education at Texas A&M University in 2002, spending five years as an Academic Advisor for General Academic Programs and as a Learning Specialist in the Center for Athletic Academic Services. As Academic Advisor, she advised and facilitated programming for undeclared and undecided freshmen and sophomores, provisionally-admitted students, and freshman learning communities. At New Mexico State University, Courtney served as Program Coordinator II for the National Science Foundation's Academy for Young Scientists and course instructor for UNIV 150 - The Freshman Year Experience.
Courtney grew up in Richmond, Texas, and she, along with her husband and new baby boy, is proud to now call Lubbock home. As a member of the Texas Tech University Advising team since 2009, Courtney is dedicated to guiding college students through this exciting period of immense personal and academic growth.

David has a passion for the teaching and learning process. David holds a PhD in Fine Arts with an emphasis in Music Theory, a MM in Choral Conducting and a BM in Music Education, all from Texas Tech. David was an instructor of Music Theory and Aural Skills at Texas Tech from 2005-2009. He currently directs the music program at Forrest Heights Methodist church and is co-artistic director of the professional choir, Canticum Novum. David’s research interests include the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL), music theory pedagogy, and Schenkerian music analysis. His SoTL presentation topics include learning styles, classroom technology, student motivation and the discovery method. He has published analysis research with Music Theory Spectrum and is currently working on new pedagogy research. As coordinator of the Service Learning Program, Irene consults with faculty and departments on service-learning course instruction and integrating service-learning into their academic curriculum. She serves as intermediary between faculty and community agencies in building partnerships for service-learning. In addition, she works directly with the members in the Service Learning Faculty Fellows Program and the Service Learning Advisory Council to engage in service-learning scholarly activities. Irene is also a member of the Texas Campus Compact Advisory Council. Irene received her undergraduate degree from St. Mary’s University in San Antonio. She received her MEd in Higher Education from Texas Tech University. She is a doctoral student in the Higher Education Program at Texas Tech University-College of Education. During her free time, Irene enjoys watching and attending sporting events especially softball, football, and basketball. Jeff Hays serves as an Attorney for Student Legal Services. Jeff’s primary role is working with students experiencing landlord/tenant issues. He also serves as the outreach attorney, offering educational programming to academic classes, student organizations, and Red Raider Orientation.
Jeff has a Juris Doctorate from the Texas Tech University School of Law, a Master of Science in Personal Financial Planning from the Texas Tech University Graduate School, and a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from the University of Nebraska.

Karissa works directly with faculty and instructors to help them use Blackboard effectively for online course creation and to create multimedia supplements for their online teaching. She also supports several other instructional technologies used specifically by faculty and instructors in the online classroom environment. Karissa coordinated the recent 18-month migration effort from WebCT CE 4.1 to Blackboard CE 8. In keeping with the high demand for distance education, Karissa is especially interested in enabling faculty and instructors in the development and implementation of effective instructional technology. She redesigned the training program for TTU’s Learning Management System, Blackboard, and is the chief trainer for eight Blackboard modules. She also created and maintains the Blackboard Support website. During her downtime, Karissa is an enthusiastic reader and enjoys designing and creating jewelry. Heidy began working as an instructional designer for Texas Tech University in 2007, after completing her master’s degree in Educational and Instructional Technology (EDIT) at Tech. In her position at the TLTC, she works with faculty to create high quality online and hybrid courses in Blackboard, and consults with faculty on best practices for online course design and online teaching. Heidy also assists with Blackboard support and offers technical support for several other instructional technologies available through the TLTC. In her spare time, Heidy enjoys spending time with her toddler, Kevin, and husband, Zheng, who is currently working in a Post-Doctorate position in the Chemistry Department at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Micah’s research interests center around peer observation and partnership, student engagement, student motivation, and student-teacher communication. She has presented research at regional, national, and international conferences, and she will soon have an article published in To Improve the Academy. Micah earned a BA from Austin College and a MM and DMA in Vocal Performance from Texas Tech University. Micah served as an Instructor of Voice and teaching assistant at Texas Tech, as an Adjunct Professor of Voice at Wayland Baptist University in Plainview, TX, and continues to maintain a private studio. As a TEACH Consultant, Troy works collaboratively with TEACH Fellows to enhance and empower their teaching prowess. A former TEACH Fellow, he is particularly interested in student motivation and social dynamics within the classroom. Troy earned his BA from the University of Virginia and his MFA from Brooklyn College-City University of New York. He has served on the faculty of various City Universities of New York including the Bronx Community College, Borough of Manhattan Community College, and Brooklyn College. He is also a former arts instructor in New York City Public Schools. At Texas Tech, he is working toward his PhD in Fine Arts. He has taught Voice and Movement for the Actor in the Theater Department throughout the past three years. He even received a Faculty Recognition Nomination through the TTU Mortar Board in 2007. Beyond pedagogy, his research interests include the theater arts and circus arts. Collin Foster, M.A., B. A., began his undergraduate education as a Red Raider studying Exercise and Sports Science in 2002. A close inspection of priorities and long-term goals led him to transfer to Wheaton College, from which he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Christian Education and Ministry in 2006. Prior to joining the Advising Center team he served as a substitute teacher for Lubbock ISD and a graduate assistant recruiting prospective students to the Texas Tech University College of Arts & Sciences.
Collin has a long history of mentoring high school and college students in group and one-to-one settings, and is passionate about helping others here and abroad. His international travels have enriched both his knowledge and his appreciation of many peoples and cultures. Collin draws on these exciting experiences as he works to help people from all backgrounds succeed in the university environment and beyond.
In 2011 Collin earned a Master of Arts degree in Applied Linguistics. In his free time he likes to spend time with his wife and new baby daughter (Adalyn), play guitar, study theology and meet international students to learn more about their cultures. Collin plans to relocate to North Africa as a relief worker; meeting needs and extending hope to those who need it most.

Jane Truett, B.S., has been an academic advisor at the University Advising Center since 2001. A graduate of Brownwood High School, she was a First Generation College (FGC) student, received her Bachelor of Science from Texas Tech in Early Childhood through the College of Human Sciences, and worked as a substitute teacher in Idalou, Texas, before coming to the University Advising Center.
Jane is the mother of Blake and Kent, who are both Texas Tech graduates. Jane's husband, Rynn, is a TTU graduate and farms cotton in Idalou. In her spare time Jane enjoys cooking and spending time at the family ranch.

After graduation, Kaitlin moved back to her hometown of Seattle to pursue this passion through a career in higher education. She received her Master of Arts degree in Student Development Administration from Seattle University, where she also worked in academic program coordination and financial aid, and interned in academic support services roles. During her time at Seattle U she developed an interest in student empowerment and academic decision-making, which led her to University Advising here at Texas Tech.
In her free time, Kaitlin enjoys reading, exploring the city, and otherwise enjoying the sunny Lubbock weather.

Katie H. Cooper, BS, is originally from Fayetteville, Georgia. She attended the University of Georgia studying Drawing and Scientific Illustration and then earned her Bachelors of Science from Georgia College and State University in Psychology. She is currently pursuing a Masters of Education here at TTU in Special Education with an emphasis in Behavioral Analysis.
Since 2002, Katie has worked at various camp and conference centers as a counselor, adventure trips leader, and high ropes/challenge course facilitator. Those unique experiences inspired her to pursue a career in creatively helping young people find their paths. She began working at Texas Tech in 2010 as an Administrative Assistant in the College of Architecture and was inspired to become an Academic Advisor within the university setting. She looks forward to progressing through her Master’s degree and utilizing that academic knowledge to benefit the students she advises professionally.
Katie is involved in the Mentor Tech Program and enjoys volunteering for various community and campus events. As an advisor she looks forward to helping students find their best-fit majors by encouraging them and providing many resources to aid them through the decision-making process.
In her spare time Katie enjoys painting and drawing portraits, baking bread, visiting the TTU Rec Center for aerobics and Zumba classes, taking her boxer, Dagny, to the dog park, and going on adventurous trips with her husband, Rusty (who is the coordinator for the Outdoor Pursuits Center here on campus).

Ange H. Abena Mbarga is a native of Cameroon. He has received a Bachelor's degree in finance, as well as an MBA from the Rawls College of Business at Texas Tech. Ange is also currently in a Masters program in Arid Lands with an emphasis in Civil Engineering.
During his time has Texas Tech, Ange has worked as a Community Advisor for Housing, as a Double T Crew for Red Raider Orientation, as a Graduate Assistant, and as a Techniques Center tutor, just to name a few. As a summer Red Raider Orientation Advisor, Ange will endeavor to make both the Advising Center and the students it serves successful.

Joshua Hansen B.A., M.Ed., is originally from Lynnwood, WA. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in History with minors in sport management and finance from Washington State University and his Master of Education in Higher Education in Student Affairs from Texas Tech University. He plans to continue his education, going forward through certificates and eventually a PhD.
Joshua is currently working toward publication of his thesis. He hopes to continue work in his research area of college applications and looks forward to future opportunities to research with University Advising.
Joshua fell in love working with students as a Resident Advisor at Washington State and believes University Advising provides excellent opportunities to help students in their college development. He believes in creating opportunities for all areas of their development and in giving students the keys to continue toward a successful future.

Christy Stewart serves as Administrative Business Assistant for Student Legal Services at Texas Tech University. In this role, Christy reports to and is primary support for the Managing Director along with two other attorneys in the office and serves as main receptionist and business manager.
Christy has been employed at TTU since 2001, working in the Texas Tech Police Department before transferring to the Office of Student Legal Services. Christy enjoys gardening, cooking, remodeling her home, camping and playing with her two dogs.

Tina serves as the receptionist and administrative business assistant at the TLTC. Her duties include providing clerical support to the TLTC and the 200 members of the Teaching Academy. She also schedules room reservations for the TLTC facility, oversees the catering of many departmental events, and keeps records for the TLTC library. She fills the remainder of her time processing mail outs for various TLTC seminars and workshops. Before Tina came to TLTC, she worked as a library clerk at Murfee Elementary School. She is in her 17th year as a counseling volunteer at Parkridge Pregnancy Center. She also serves as a mentor in the Mentor Tech program here on campus. Tina has spent most of her time raising her daughter, Nicole (a Tech graduate and 1st grade school teacher), and her son, Eric (a Tech graduate with his Masters in Personal Financial Planning).
