Vision, Mission, & Strategic Planning
To be prepared is half the victory.
—Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra (1547-1616)
Spanish novelist, dramatist and poet
Any enterprise like Texas Tech has many moving parts; each part requires care and attention and will ultimately fail without something more. What is this essential ingredient? Purpose.
Beyond a unifying purpose and motivation, we also require plans. If we are to accomplish our plans and not abandon them along the way, then we must also have deliberate goals to pursue. It stands to reason then, that accurate measures are also important if we are to assess our progress and make necessary modifications in a timely and effective manner. Progress warrants recognition and gives birth to appropriate celebration that validates and encourages our ongoing forward momentum.
This page demonstrates the division's deliberate support of
and alignment with the vision, mission, values, strategic plan,
and assessable accountability of Texas Tech University.
Here you will find the plans we have made to do our part to
deliver on the promise,
"From here, it's possible."
