Strategic Enrollment Planning Council
Charge:
The Strategic Enrollment Planning Council is charged with the development of an enrollment plan that will guide Texas Tech University through the achievement of the overall goal of an enrollment of 40,000 students by 2020. Strategic enrollment planning incorporates all aspects of the university, and is far more comprehensive than admissions recruiting. Strategic enrollment planning is an information-based and on-going process that identifies, evaluates, and modifies strategies and enrollment goals that effectively address the following elements:
- How Texas Tech University serves students, both currently and in the future;
- Texas Tech University’s mission, goals, and capabilities; and
- A changing marketplace and environment.
The Council shall be responsible for making strategic recommendations to the Senior Vice President for Enrollment Management & Student Affairs and the Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs regarding all aspects of enrollment management, including but not limited to programs, services, advisement, policies, and procedures that impact the recruitment, transition, engagement, retention, and graduation of undergraduate and graduate students. The Council is also responsible for implementing new initiatives as may be determined or assigned. The Council should meet monthly.
Operating Procedures:
The Council shall develop procedures subject to the approval of the Senior Vice President for Enrollment Management & Student Affairs and the Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs. Copies of all minutes and reports will be provided to all council members. All Council members may vote, including substitutes representing absent Council members. The Senior Vice President for Enrollment Management & Student Affairs and the Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs review and approve Council recommendations. Subcommittees, as appropriate, can be utilized to assist the Council.
Chairpersons:
The Senior Vice President for Enrollment Management & Student Affairs shall serve as chair and the Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs shall serve as vice chair of the Council.

Appointed members shall serve initial terms of two years and can be reappointed.
