Math and Statistics
Dr. Hamilton joined the mathematics department in the fall of 2010. Prior to this, he spent three years at the University of Connecticut as a postdoctoral fellow and a year at the Max Planck Institut fur Mathematik in Bonn, Germany. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Bristol in 2005 and his master's degree from the same institution in 2002. His research interests lie in algebra and topology. His research explores the connections between these areas and parts of mathematical physics, such as quantum field theory.
