Dr. Matt Hart is an assistant professor of accounting in the Rawls College of Business. He joined the area of accounting at Texas Tech University in August 2010. Dr. Hart teaches both graduate (ACCT 5319) and undergraduate (ACCT 4301) auditing classes. He received a Ph.D. in business administration (emphasis in accounting) from Arizona State University in May 2010. After receiving a master's degree in accounting from Weber State University, he worked for Grant Thornton LLP for four years in Salt Lake City. He is also a Certified Public Accountant in the state of Utah. His research focuses on analyst and management forecasting behavior. His dissertation focused on the differential market response to qualitative and quantitative management forecasts.
