Raegan Higgins

Dr. Higgins joined Texas Tech as a visitor in 2008 after earning her doctorate for the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Her dissertation work was in the area of oscillation criteria for dynamic equations on time scales. Dr. Higgins received a B.S. degree in mathematics from Xavier University of Louisiana in 2002.

Dr. Higgins' current research is in time scales; her interests focus on oscillation criteria for certain linear and nonlinear second order dynamic equations. Dr. Higgins is also interested in applications of time scales to biology, economics, engineering and issues that affect pre-service teachers' ability to teach mathematics.

She is married to Kamau Oginga Siwatu, a faculty member in the College of Education, and they have one daughter, Jalia.
