Andy King received his Ph.D. from Purdue University in 2012. His research focuses on health communication campaigns and interventions, specifically focusing on message design, evaluation and visual messaging components. His work primarily focuses on messaging efforts focused on changing behaviors related to organ donor registration and cancer screening. In the past few years, he’s authored or co-authored research appearing in journals such as the Journal of Communication, the Journal of Health Communication, the Journal of Applied Communication Research, the Journal of Applied Social Psychology, and Clinical Transplantation. He also serves as an editorial board member for the journal Health Communication. His wife, Abigail, is also a new faculty member at Tech in the Technical Communication & Rhetoric division of the Department of English.
