Dr. Wilson studies the rhetorical assumptions people bring to various national discussions, such as the same-sex marriage debate. He also studies the difference between how local farmers think about local issues of sustainability on their farms and the way national organizations talk about the role of farms in global sustainability. Wilson received his PhD in Rhetoric and Professional Communication from the Department of English at New Mexico State University and was a Technical Staff Member within the Statistical Sciences Group at Los Alamos National Laboratory. Before joining TTU, he was an assistant professor in the English Department at Iowa State University.
